Guide
When you finish a song and you have gotten more than 100,000 points, the achievement will unlock. Heart-Shaped Box on Easy is very easy to get 100,000 points on.

Get 200,000 points in a song

Guide
When you finish a song and you have gotten more than 200,000 points, the achievement will unlock. You will be able to get this on most songs on Medium.

Get 300,000 points in a song

Guide
When you finish a song and you have gotten more than 300,000 points, the achievement will unlock. You can try this on Fall of Pangea and Free Bird on Medium.

Get 400,000 points in a song

When you finish a song and you have gotten more than 400,000 points, the achievement will unlock. Getting harder now, but it's still doable. Free Bird on Medium is one song you could get this on. Otherwise you will have to up the difficulty a notch or two and play on Hard/Expert. Try X-Stream on Hard or Expert or Free Bird on Hard/Expert.

Get 500,000 points in a song

When you finish a song and you have gotten more than 500,000 points, the achievement will unlock.

Well... This is actually quite hard. You can get this on Free Bird (Hard), Fall of Pangea (Expert), X-Stream (Expert), Killing in the Name (Expert), Free Bird (Expert), or you could go ahead and get a pretty good 100% of Jordan on Expert ;)

Unlock Rat Cellar

When you finish all songs in the first setlist (Opening Licks), you will unlock the second setlist (Amp-Warmers), and with it the Rat Cellar and this achievement.

Unlock Blackout Bar

This is unlocked when you finish the second setlist (Amp-Warmers) and unlock the third, String Snappers

Unlock RedOctane Club

This is unlocked once you beat the third setlist (String Snappers) and unlock the fourth, Trash and Burn.

Unlock Rock City Theater

This is very much doable on any song on Easy.

When playing a song, once you hit 500 consecutive notes, the achievement will unlock.
There are quite a few songs on Easy which you can unlock this with (by playing close to 100%): Monkey Wrench, Heart-Shaped Box, Sweet Child O' Mine, Killing in the Name are some.

Get a 1000 note streak

You will need to hit 1000 consecutive notes, without losing your streak. The easiest way to unlock this is Free Bird on Medium.

Beat the Expert tour

But it is still challenging, especially for someone rather new to the game. Remember to use practice mode if you are struggling with certain sections in a song. Play on Hard until you are comfortable with the orange fret. And for the love of God, learn how to use hammer-ons and pull-offs!

Earn five stars on all songs in the Easy tour

You will need to 5 star every setlist song on Easy. Should be easy to get this one, even for someone fairly new to the game.

Earn five stars on all songs in the Medium tour

Again, as the description says, you will need 5 stars on every song on the Medium tour. If you've just got through Sandbox Hero Award, you should be able to get this one pretty quick.

Earn five stars on all songs in the Hard tour

You will need 5 stars on each song in the Hard tour. Of course, this is a lot more challenging than Most Likely to Succeed Award, because now you will use the orange fret frequently, and there are tons of hammer-ons and pull-offs. Practice mode is your friend.

Earn five stars on all songs in the Expert tour

Ok, to grab five stars on each of the Expert songs, you will have to be pretty good. Most of the early songs are pretty easy to five star, but the longer down the list you get, the harder the songs get. Especially the ones in the final setlist are truly challenging. Hardest songs to 5 star are Hangar 18 and Misirlou, in my opinion.
By this time, you will need to know how to use the hammer-ons and pull-offs, you will have to be pretty good with the orange fret, and you should have learned how to alt-strum (using the strumbar both ways - up and down).

Complete all tutorials

From the Main Menu, choose Training and the Tutorials. Complete every one of them to unlock the achievement.

Get an 8x multiplier

Guide
When playing a song, once you get Star Power ready and you have a 4x multiplier (as indicated by a 4x in the bottom left side of your HUD), tilt your guitar on hit the back button on your guitar/controller to activate Star Power. This will give you the 8x multiplier, and the achievement will unlock.

Get 100% notes hit on a song

Guide
To get this achievement, you need to finish a song without missing a note. You can overstrum or drop holds, but you cannot miss any notes. Once you finish the song, the achievement will unlock.
You can get this easily by playing Surrender on Easy.

Refuse to play an encore

Guide
Once you've finished the first 5 songs in a setlist, you will be asked to play an encore. Simply answer No when prompted to unlock the achievement.

Note: This cannot be done on Easy, as it doesn't have encores!

Fail a song on Easy

Guide
Pick any song on Easy and do your best to not hit a note :-P Instead, you could overstrum like mad to bring the rock meter down, thus failing faster.

Beat a song with lefty flip on

Guide
Play a song on Easy for the easiest way to unlock this. Start a song, hit pause, Video Settings->Lefy Flip Player 1, go back and confirm. This will restart the song and allow you to play with lefty flip on.

Practice three different songs

Guide
From the Main Menu, pick Practice. Pick any three songs on any difficulty and simply play one section in each song to unlock the achievement.

Beat Trogdor and Thunder Horse

Guide
Trogdor and Thunder Horse are both songs you will have to purchase from the store in career mode. Once you have done it, simply beat them both (star rating doesn't matter), and when you beat the second of the two, the achievement will unlock.

Beat Jordan on Expert

Guide
Hard, hard, hard, hard achievement. Even for good Guitar Hero players this can be a pain in the nuts. The chart up to the solo can be practiced and perfected, but most people fail miserably in the solo. I would rate the first part of this solo harder than the Through the Fire and Flames intro on Guitar Hero 3, because it's extremly quick, haven't got much room for errors, and is hard to master.

You should save as much Star Power you can get up until Solo B and Solo C (check the practice mode to see how they look, in case you've never got that far), but you shouldn't activate it immediately. Try to play at least the first part of Solo B the best you can, and once your Rock Meter is blinking red, activate Star Power. If all goes well, you will complete Solo C and hit the Blue Note of Freedom, which is the blue held note at the end of Solo C. From there on, it's not THAT hard, but it's still pretty challenging.

Buy all guitars

You do not need to buy the bonus guitars, which unlocks when you beat or 5-star a career difficulty. You will need to buy the initial 16 guitars in the store when you start a new career. Total price is $11,450.

Buy all guitar finishes

Guide
You will need to buy 26 guitar finished, at a total cost of $11,150. Only 8 finishes are initially available, so you will need to buy all the guitars first.

Buy all songs

Guide
You can buy these in career mode. There are 26 songs, and they cost $550 each. To buy them all, you will need $14,300.

Buy all characters

Guide
There are 3 characters you can buy at a total price of $17,000. Clive Winston and Xavier Stone both costs $5,000 each, while Grim Ripper has a price tag of $7,000.

Buy all outfits

Guide
There are 8 outfits at $2,000 each, so you will need $16,000 in total to buy them all.

View the credits

Guide
From the main menu, go to Options and select Credits. Watch through the whole thing to unlock this achievement.

Spend $10,000 at the store

Guide
This will unlock the second you've spent $10,000 in the store. Play through the career, make some cash and spend them in the store.

The amount of money you make from the career depends on the difficulty level you're playing and what star ratings you get.
You will get $150 for each 3 star, $350 for each 4 star and $600 for each 5 star. Also, if you 5 star a song you haven't 5 starred on the easier difficulties, you get the payout for those as well. For example, if you 5 star a song on Expert, you will get $600 + $600 for the Hard 5 star + $600 for the Medium 5 star = $1,800.

Beat all the unlock songs

Once you've bought all the unlockable songs (see Record Collector Award), simply play through each one of them to unlock this achievement.

This one is pretty difficult, and it was actually the last achievement I unlocked in this game. It's probably the most difficult achievement in the game, as you will need a partner who's also pretty good at Guitar Hero.

There's two songs you can unlock this on. One song is Jessica. Actually, you shouldn't even think about trying it. You will need to get close to 100% with both players on Expert to go over 1,000,000 points.
