This game is easily doable in a day. I spent 14 hours on my first playthrough, and then about 20 hours for my second playthrough (guide time!) Considering most of the achievements are collect this-collect that achievements, it might become a bit boring. But all in all, easy piecey!

Chapter One Complete Chapter One Complete 10G

Find the Field Guide.

Guide
Go out of the room and move to the left, up the stairs, and up a ladder. Pick up the broomstick. Climb down the ladder and go down the stairs, all the way until you get to the first floor. After a small cutscene, go straight ahead and into the kitchen. Hit the plaster wall a few times with your broom. Once in the dumbwaiter, move the Left Stick and the Right Stick as described on screen to go up.

In the tower, go right to the table and pick up the Fancy Key as indicated with a green symbol. Go back down the dumbwaiter, back up the stairs and ladder to the tower. Open the chest to get the Field Guide. This will end chapter 1.


 

Chapter Two Complete Chapter Two Complete 10G

Obtain the Monocle.

Guide
Take the cracker from the table to your left. Exit the room and enter the mother's bedroom (last door on the left before the stairs), and pick up the wooden bat. Go up the stairs towards the tower, but instead of going up to the tower, hit the strange shelves with the wooden bat to open a shortcut to the study. Move down the stairs to the first floor and enter the kitchen. On the counter is a jar of honey, use it so you get a cracker with honey. Go outside through the front door. Turn left and move to the side of the house until you see a small shed with an open door. Enter the shed and pick up the bird house on the right side. Go back into the house and up to the study, and place the bird house on the desk, then place the honey cracker on the same desk. A cutscene will play before you start off as Thimbletack.

Move straight ahead and jump (he will actually do it automatically) up onto the stack of books, and go through the hole in the wall. Refer to the cockroach guide for the list of cockroaches you can find on the way. Once inside the hole, move left, jump over two holes, and onto a total of 2 heights. Once on the second height, do a 180 and jump to a platform in front of you, and then climb up the wire. Once up on the higher platform, do another 180, and jump to a lower platform. Then climb over two pipes, and enter another hole in the wall. Jump over 4 holes to reach another 4 holes, now with platforms with electricity on them. Time your jump so that you will not land on an electrifying platform. Once on the other side, a short cutscene will follow. Shoot the stone down from where it's lying, and then continue down the wire right in front of you. Jump over the platforms to reach the pipe where the stone just went through, and go through the pipe.

Once in the next area, shoot the stone so that it lands in another area, and jump down the pipe. Dash towards the card lying against the wall, and jump to the left platform, and go down the pipe, and then through the pipe in the wall.

In the next area, jump up onto a small platform, and climb up the wire. Jump up to the top platform, and climb down the wire. Jump over the paintbuckets to finally reach the stone. Run towards the card on the opposite wall to get back to the previous area, and once there, run up the card to your right. Jump to the left platform, turn left and run up another card. Go through the pipe in the wall, and run up yet another card. From here just keep going right until you get through the hole in the wall, go through it, and walk to the edge of the desk and select to return to the study.

Now, as Jared, run downstairs and out the front door, go to the left towards the garage and talk to Simon. He will give you a slingshot. Aim with Right Trigger and locate the cat on the roof, then shoot it down. As Simon, go back into the house, and up to the tower. Take the lens from the telescope. Run down into the study, and pick up the broken spectacles in the room to the right. Run all the way to the opposite end of the study, and use the workbench to create the monocle. Run back down to Jared and talk to Simon. You will now have to run back up as Simon to pick it up. That concludes chapter 2.

Burn the Field Guide.

Guide
Once you start off, you will have to pick up the sprite net from a table. To switch between the sprite net and your weapon, you must press Left Bumper, and to use the sprite net, simply press A. Now run downstairs and out the front door. Follow the road down to the front gate to find a Leatherwing Sprite. Use your sprite net to catch it, and then you will have to play a mini game to actually catch it. Paint (by holding A and moving the paintbrush around with the Left Stick) the outside of the sprite and work your way inwards. You have a time limit, so you will have to be quick. To use a sprite, press Y. You can carry a total of 3 sprites. The sprites have different powers, the Leatherwing having the ability to heal you, and for every 2 Leatherwing you collect, you will get an extra healthleaf.

Now run towards the shed until you stumble upon a goblin. Make sure you have your bat ready, and swing away at the gobling by pressing A. You can hold A for a few seconds to load up a power attack, release A to execute it, and tap A to extend it. Once they are down, they will drop some green looking things. These are goblin teeth, which you will have to collect to unlock Goblin Killer, Goblin Conqueror, and Goblin Master, so make sure you always collect them. The green goblins drop 1, the red goblins drop 2, while the big goblins that throw rocks drop 3. Collecting the goblin teeth also unlocks new attacks for the character who are picking them up.

Run out the gate to reach Forest Road. Once in Forest Road, run straight ahead, under the log, then make a right. Run all the way until you reach a grass field, and keep to the left of this field to get to another road, which you will have to follow. Once you reach a crossroad, make a right, then go to the left on the next crossroad. You will eventually reach a swamp area with a couple of platforms you will have to jump on. Jump over them so that you reach the area to the right, and walk up a small hill to reach a log. You will have to push down the log (that boy's strong!) to create a brige underneath. Run back to the last crossroad, and rom where you are coming from, make a left and run over the newly created bridge. Keep following the road until you reach Quarry, which you must enter.

Run straight ahead to reach a small shed. Pick up the fuse from the fusebox, and then run back and follow the road that goes upwards to the cliffside. Follow the cliffside, jumping over the holes, until you reach the roof of another shed. Climb down the ladder and jump down a small ledge, then locate another fusebox to the right which you can place the fuse into. Jump back up the ledge and smash the doorway to the shed with your bat. Pick up the aluminium bat inside, and activate the control panel to create a bridge. Now, jump down the ledge again, jump over the gap to the bridge, and locate a ladder you can climb down. Once down there will be a small cutscene with Hogsqueal, who's telling you to release him. Run back up the ladder and back on the bridge. Shoot the goldcolored plates to make the cage fall down. Run back down the ladder and open the cage. He will help you release Simon.

As Simon, you will have to escape the goblin camp without weapons. Simply run up the small hill and keep heading straight ahead until you reach the entrance to Forest Road. Once you get to the Forest Road, you will regain control of Jared, and you are confronting a river troll, which demands you to feed him. You will have to feed 10 goblins to him, you can either use the Will-O'-The-Wisp which is flying around in that area (it lures the goblins into running in it's direction), or you could push the goblins to the troll by hitting them, or you coul allow yourself to be grabbed by the troll. By doing this, the goblins go just beside the troll and you can wiggle the Left Stick left and right to make the troll release you. Once the troll releases you, he will eat one goblin standing beside him. If you use the second method, make sure you don't kill them before they reach the troll's feeding area (you can use the sprite net to push them without hurting them), and make sure you don't feed yourself to the troll. Now, follow Simon as he runs along, protecting him every step of the way, until you reach Estate Grounds. There are three more red goblins in the Estate Grounds you have to kill, and once they are down, run towards the mansion. A small cutscene is played, before you will have to locate and help out Mallory.

Run to the right to locate Mallory. Approach her and after a small cutscene you will be in control of her. You will have to beat Redcap and his small army of goblins. The method of defeating Redcap is by pressing A once he is attacking you. Mallory will perform a disarming move, and you can hit Redcap a few times before he runs to collect his weapon again. Do this a few times until he runs off.

You will now be in control of Simon. Run around the house to the right where Mallory and Jared are, go to a table by the four small garden houses to pick up a hose nozzle. Now go into the garage and pick up the duct tape off the counter. Enter the mansion, and go straight ahead into the kitchen, pick up the soda bottle from the trashcan, some tomato sauce off the wall rack, and can of oatmeal on the counter. Then run upstairs, pick up salt from the wall rack, then into the bathroom to pick up the old pipe from the bathtub. Run to the loft, pick up the bicycle pump, then into the study to find vinegar on a table in the room to the right from the loft. Use the workbench to make Simon's weapon.

Run outside to the garage to find a fire salamander by the garage wall. Spray it with the newly created splattergun (so that it doesn't explode when you go near it) and pick it up. Once you have it, run back to Jared and Mallory and place the fire salamander into the bin. This ends chapter 3.

 

Chapter Four Complete Chapter Four Complete 10G

Find Aunt Lucinda.

Guide
Once you start off, run into the shed to pick up the garden spade. Run to Jared and deliver it to him, and then you will have to cover him while he looks for the key. Make sure no goblins attack him, or he will have to start all over again. Once the key has been located, enter the cellar. Hit the boards covering the hole in the wall with your bat and run through it to find a sealed-off area. The riddle on the note goes "A circle of FROG CHAIRS will provide a platform. Only your WILL can get through the window. With enough POWER, the door will open." You will need a Royal Orchid Sprite, a Will-O'-The-Wisp, and finally a Bellflower Sprite. You can find a Royal Orchid in the cellar, Will-O'-The-Wisp outside by the garage, and the Bellflower will be by the pavillion just outside the cellar entrance. Once you have caught them all, run back down there, use the Toadstool Ring power on the platform, the launch Diversion towards the small ring which will now have a blue glow. Finally, use Damage Boost and swing away on the boulders.

Enter the tunnels. Beware, if you go to near the edge, Jared will jump off like a suicidal idiot. Go to the left, until you reach a large goblin throwing rocks on you from a platform. Kill him, and keep on jumping over the platforms, and to the next area. Here you will find yourself in pursuit by a land troll, so you will have to keep on running away from it to escape. Once you reach the hole in the wall, Jared will automatically crawl into it and you will reach the next area. Go straight ahead to fall down through the ground, and you must escape yet another time from the troll. Just keep on running, dodging every obstacle, until you reach a ladder. This is the end of Chapter 4.

Tame the Griffin.

Guide
You'll start off in control of Thimbletack. You might want to unhinge the antique sabre for Mallory first, so go through the hole in the wall and make a left. Continue all the way until you reach the area where you have to jump on the electrifying platforms. Jump over each of them until you reach the last platform, then make a turn to the left. Continue on until you reach a hole with a hook in the middle of it. Aim for it, and press A to throw your new hook at it, and swing across. This will unhinge the antique sabre from the wall, which will allow Mallory to pick it up later.

Now, run all the way back to the hole in the wall where you initially entered, but instead of going back out, continue straight ahead. Make your way across the first few gaps, ignoring the safe drawing on the ground, and all the way to the end. Turn right, jump through the hole, and jump to the entrance in the left wall by shifting your weight in the air. Continue over the blue pipe and into the chimney. Go to the left side and swing yourself across the gap. In the next area you will have to grab an electrified pipe and move over a gap. You will have to time the electricity before you move over. Once safely across, go to the right and enter a bookshelf. Follow the way until you drop down into a lower area. From here, go to the ramp and jump into the shelf in the middle, walk all the way in, and slide down a wire. Continue over a ramp on the left hand side of this area, grab a pipe to get across a cap, run around to the right, jumping over the same gap, and use your hook to swing over the next gap. Go to the right to get to a room with electrified pipes. Wait until the electricity cools down before you make a run for it. Once on the other side, climb up the wire and grab the safe combination.

Backtrack all the way back to the safedrawing on the ground, and climb up the wire. Make your way to the right, and use your hook so that Thimbletack can swing his way up on the safe and enter the combination. Once inside, jump up on the stack of silly green paper, up onto the book, and on the next stack of silly green paper, and pick up the Amber Acorn. Now go back to the study.

Now as Mallory, pick up the Antique Sabre. Now make your way out to the Quarry and the Goblin Camp where you escaped from with Simon. You will have to fight 20 goblins here, and then Redcap once again. Beat him the same way you did the last time, with disarming him by using A when he attacks. If, at any time, you need health during these battles, you can run up to the shed to collect a Bellflower Sprite. Now, you'll need to find that griffin.

First, you should gather up some Fire Salamanders, because you will have to feed five of these to the griffin. Run into the small cave at the back of the camp to find three. Use Simon's splattergun to make the salamanders harmless and to actually put out the lava (O_o?). Talk to the knocker, too. Leave this area, and head back to the Forest Road. Once you're here, you can do the River Troll quest. Since the Field Guide says the river troll abhors direct sunlight, we must lure him into it. You must spray him repeatedly with the splattergun so that he retreats into the sunlight in the back of the pond. This will turn him into stone and end the quest (and unlock the River Troll Master achievement). Keep on going until you reach the entrance to the Deep Woods which you have to crawl through, but before going in, collect two more fire salamanders. Then enter through the crawl-in-entrance.

Follow the road until you reach a pond. In the middle of the pond is a platform with an enormous tree with a face on it. Go towards it's mouth and use Cypress Tree Folk. This will teleport you to the location of the Griffin. Approach the Griffin and feet it the 5 Fire Salamander it requires. This is the end of Chapter 5.

 

Chapter Six Complete Chapter Six Complete 10G

Return to the Mansion.

Guide
As soon as you start off, head back into the Cypress Tree. You might want to pick up the leaf (as part of the Treefolk quest). Then go back through the crawling entrance from which you came. Once in Forest Road, go all the way to the right (from the crawling entrance) until the road is blocked by lava. Extinguish it with the splattergun, go onto the log, and jump down to the right. You'll now see the gate to Estate Ground. Once you approach it the kids decide to go in another way, so turn around, run up on and over the log, and enter the first Deep Woods entrance. Follow the right path and run in circles around the Stray Sod so the weed blocking the path is removed. Then use the Oak Tree Folk. (You can go back here and pick up the Oak Leaf to end the Treefolk quest.) Now go down from the ledge and to the right to enter the Tunnels. Make your way through the tunnels and up into the cellar, and then out to the Estate Grounds. That's it for chapter 6.

Defeat Mulgarath!

Guide
First of all, you have to defend your mother while she's setting the trap. You are Simon, and supposed to be in the kitchen, while Jared and Mallory are running around in the other parts of the house. This is an excellent time to farm those goblin teeth, because whenever Mallory and Jared defeats a goblin, you are free to pick the teeth up. Keep running around in the house, pick up teeth and defeating goblins as you go along. If Mom is under attack, she will be unable to set the trap, and the trap timer will stop. This allows you to collect even more teeth, but beware, she's completely defenseless, and will take a beating. In this battle, you should be able to collect ~80 teeth.

 

Once the trap is set, there's a small cutscene showing Redcap and some goblins setting off the trap. Once the cutscene is over, you will be chased by Mulgarath. What you need to do is run into the kitchen and into the dumbwaiter. Get yourself up to the study which is in a complete mess right now. Run to the left side of the area, and climb up on to the tipped over bookcase, then move south, ignoring the goblins on your way. Jump over the small gap to the next platform, then use Left Stick and Right Stick to climb up the roof. Get to the ladder and climb up. A cutscene marks the end of Chapter 7. Storyline complete! But wait... There's more to do!

Complete the Field Guide.

Guide
Now, what you will have to do is complete the Field Guide. There are several quests if you look in your logbook, and I'll try to go through each one of them here. The quests with achievements are written in their respective guides.

Baseball Bat (Jared)
The aluminum bat is located in the shed by the cliffside in Quarry

Tomato Bombs (Simon)
The plastic bags required for this is in the kitchen in the mansion. Pick them off the counter.

Saber (Thimbletack/Mal)
The Saber is in the Study, but you will have to unhinge it as Thimbletack to actually get it. Check out the beginning of Chapter 5 guide to get a way description. Once you've unhinged it, you can pick it up as Mallory.

Goblin Teeth
You will need to collect at least 50 teeth with each character. For a few tips, see Goblin Master

International Sprite League
There will be letters on the front porch of the mansion once you unlock certain areas of the game. They will appear during the storyline, so by Chapter 8, each letter should be there for you to pick up.

The Phoenix
You will need to find two things. 1) Phoenix eggshell, which is located in a dead end in the area of the entrances to the Deep Woods in Forest Road. 2) Phoenix feather, crawl through the small entrance to Deep Woods from Forest Road, and look for it on the right hand side when the road curves left.

Dwarves
The three dwarf relics are:
* Metal leaf: By the camp fire in the goblin camp in Quarry
* Dwarven ring: in the Oak Tree area in Tunnels, right of the Knocker's cave
* Metal cricket: Deep into tunnels where you were chased by the Land Troll. You will have throw a rock on a crystal part of a rock hanging from the ceiling to create a bridge, and then pass over to collect the metal cricket. It's in the same area as the Flower-Winged Sprite #6.

Elves
The two elf relics are in Deep Woods near the pond. First you'll find Elfshot nearby the Cypress Tree, and then there's an Elven basket on the ledge leading from the pond and towards the Oak Tree area.

Sprite Race
To initiate the race, you will first have to release a Flower-Winged Sprite from under a basket in the Garage in Estate Grounds. Then you will have to go to the tree directly outside of the mansions front door, catch it with your net, and release it. Once the power is spent, you can talk to the sprite to initiate the race. If you win it, you will be awarded with 5 ball bearings, 5 gobstones and 5 fairie fruits. You might want to have at least one Dash available to win the race. Also, make sure you don't accidentally capture the sprite while running, because if you finish the race, you will lose the bonus.

Ok, I admit that writing a location guide for all 50 cockroaches wasn't easy, but I made an attempt at it. I've divided it into two sections, the first section is based on Chapter 3, when you first get to control Thimbletack, but without the jack. The second is in Chapter 5 when you have to get the Amber Acorn and are in possession of the jack. Here goes:

Section 1 (Chapter 3, 29 roaches):
* Once you enter the hole in the wall, there is one on the wall to the right
* Turn around and walk towards the left end (from the hole in the wall), and you should see another on a wall straight ahead
* Jump up two platforms to see one on the ground
* There's another on the brick wall straight ahead
* Turn around, jump on onto the platform and climb over the gap by the pipe. The next roach is on the wall to the right.
* Continue on over the next gap, and into the hole in the wall to the next area. On a platform straight ahead will be another one.
* Jump over the gap to the next platform to see a roach on the wall to the right.
* Jump down to the bottom to find one cockroach one the ground
* Look for another on the ground
* There's one on the wall over the jack of spades
* Another one is on the ceiling in a small area with some fairie fruits
* Go back up the wall by running on the jack of spades, jump the platforms until you reach the electrified platforms. There's another roach on the side of the first platform.
* Time your jumps across the platforms, once you reach the fusebox, there will be one on the same wall to the left.
* Go down the wire and follow the arrows. Instead of going into the pipe, go right instead. Go up the small slope, and then look to the right to find a roach climbing up and down a wooden column.
* Run through the pipe to the next area, jump down the pipe in the floor to find a roach on the floor just in front of you.
* Look on the opposite wall of where you are to find a roach.
* Dash up the card to find one on the rusted tank.
* There will be another one on the same tank.
* Look back to your left to see a roach on the wall over a queen of spades card.
* Jump down the pipe and look a little down to the right, the side of the floor, and there will be another roach.
* Go through the pipe to the next area. There will be a roach on the floor.
* Next to the last roach will be another, also on the floor.
* Under the bottom step is another roach.
* One is on the wall above the card.
* There's one on one of the paint cans.
* Below the fourth step is another roach.
* Climb up on top of a small platform, and then up a wire. Below the seventh step is one roach.
* On the wall of the seventh step is another roach.
* Look downwards on the wall to the left, to find the last one for now.

Section 2 (Chapter 5, 21 roaches):
* Once you enter through the hole, go left and all the way to the electrified platforms. Jump to the last platform, and then go left through a small gap. Continue on this path to find one roach on the wall to the left.
* Either swing yourself across the gap, or jump down into the hole. There will be another roach on the wall on the side you came from.
* Backtrack all the way back to the hole in the wall from which you came, and continue onwards. Make your way past the safe drawing on the ground and to the wall on the end. There is a cockroach on the wall to the left behind you.
* Jump through the hole to the right, to find a cockroack on the wall to the left.
* There's another on the blue pipe in the wall below you.
* Jump to the ledge in the wall to the left to reach an area where you have to go over a blue pipe. There will be a roach on it.
* Jump through to the chimney, to find a cockroach on the opposite wall of you.
* Continue through the hole on the other side, jump down to the bottom. On the brick wall by the wire that leads back up is a roach.
* Go back up, and jump onto the platform. Look to the floor on the other side. A cockroach is crawling there.
* Time your safe passage across the gap, and go right through the hole. Continue along the bookcase, go to the bottom floor via the wire, and under the bookcase. You will find one on the wall to the right.
* Straight ahead from the previous one, is another.
* Jump to the middle portion of the bookcase, continue until you fall down from the shelf, and you will see a cockroach on the wall to the right.
* Go straight ahead and down into a lower area. Go through the hole in the wall, and turn around. There's a cockroach looking straight at you.
* From the hole, look to the right hand corner to find a cockroach sitting on a pipe.
* Continue left and on the small bridge you will find a roach.
* Go right, move over the gap, go around the brown pipe to your right, and look at it to find a roach.
* Look to the blue pipe on the other side of the next gap to see a roach.
* Jump over the gap, look on the blur pipe n your right side. A roach should be on top of it.
* Look on the ground on the other side of the gap to find a roach.
* Swing across the next gap, and look beneath the pipes to see another roach.
* Go get the safe combination past the electrified pipes, if you haven't done this yet. Backtrack to the area where the safe drawing is on the ground. Climb up the wire, and look for a cockroach on the opposite wall of you.
* Move over the hanging pipe and then find the final cockroach on the wall to the right. Yay, all 50 collected.

The Gobstones are ammo for Simon. They are slightly harder to find than Ball Bearings, and there are fewer of them out in the wild. When capturing a Stray Sod for the first time, its "power" is that it gives you a Gobstone (taken into account below). When you meet up with the Quarry Knocker, he will make the more powerful. The Tunnels Knocker gives you 60 of them.

Overview of how many there are in the different areas (of the ones I found)

Estate Grounds: 5, 5 for winning the Sprit Race against Waffleflea.
Garage: 0

Fairie Fruits are fruits used to lure Sprites. Sprites that are difficult to capture will be attracted to the fruit once you've thrown it to the ground. You can also pick up fruits you've thrown, but they won't count towards the achievements even though they say things like "Cool! Another fairie fruit!" The fruits are somewhat hard to find, and there are few of them in the game. The fruits you find as Thimbletack are only meant for consumation by him to regain health, and it is not possible to pick these up, nor do they count towards the achievements.
Catching a Sprout Sprite for the first time will yield one Fairie Fruit (taken into account below).

To get the teeth you will have to kill goblins. There are three types of goblins in the game, the green goblins, the red goblins and the larger bull goblins. They drop 1, 2, and 3 teeth each respectively. Until you actually unlock the achievement, I recommend that you kill each goblin you see, and pick up the teeth it drops, especially the bull goblins.
In chapter 7, when you have to guard Mom while she's setting a trap, you can run around the house and collect teeth that the goblins killed by the other two kids drops. Doing this will allow you get about 80 teeth minimum.

Fire Salamander Collector Fire Salamander Collector 30G

Collect 10 Fire Salamanders.

This has to be done as Simon. The fire salamanders are the red, glowing lizards crawling on the ground. There's one by the garage, if you're unsure what it looks like. Spray them with a splatter gun and pick them up. Unlike the sprites, they do not disappear once you pick them up, as they do not offer any powers. You can go between Deep Forest and Forest Road to collect 10 quickly.

Leatherwing Collector Leatherwing Collector 10G

Record all Leatherwing Sprites.

Guide
There are 10 Leatherwing Sprites in total. Their power is health regain. Once you use it, your health bar (the green leaves in the top left corner of the screen) replenishes. For every 2 Leatherwings you collect, you get one extra leaf.

1 (Estate Grounds, Spindletree): This one is story-line based, so you will have to collect it in chapter 3. It is by the front gate.
2 (Estate Grounds, Tantese): He is in the trees to the left of the garage (when looking from the mansion). Walk up to the treeline and he will appear.
3 (Quarry, Hargmarglin): He is located by the shed straight ahead when entering from Forest Road.
4 (Quarry, Longo): Go the cliffside way and you will find it on the way towards the cliffside shed.
5 (Forest Road, Dusky Cranesbill): When entering from Estate Grounds, it will be right in front of you up on the log.
6 (Forest Road, Elsinore): It's near the Quarry sign by the pond (the side closest to the Deep Woods crawl entrance)
7 (Deep Woods, Athelas): It's in the Stray Sod area, by the Oak Tree.
8 (Tunnels, Sweet William): It's in the area where the Oak Tree and the Knocker are.
9 (Tunnels, Lousewort): It's in the first area of the tunnels, just before the getting-chased-by-troll-part.
10 (Quarry, Leatherleaf): This is the last of the sprites related to the Garden Sprites quest. You have to collect the previous 3 before this one pops up. It will first be locked inside a latern in the tree where you freed Hogsqueal, so shoot it down first. Then go down to the pond to find it.

The Royal Orchid Sprites are the orange sprites with a pink glow. The power granted to you is Toadstool Ring while will setup a circle of toadstools around you. In case you don't know, toadstools are impassable for the goblins, meaning that they cross the line (just like outside the mansion)

1 (Cellar, Calendula): The only sprite in the Cellar. It's behind the large water tank
2 (Estate Grounds, Lolly): It is directly outside of the entrance to the mansion
3 (Forest Road, Miss MerryToe): When coming from the Estate Grounds, it is on the right side of the meadow, just by the road.
4 (Quarry, Griffin area, Starwort): It is the only sprite in the Griffin area.
5 (Deep Woods, Phlax): This is the first of the Garden Sprites. It will only appear in Chapter 8. It is located directly in front of you when coming from Forest Road

Guide
The Flower Winged Sprites are the blueish sprites that flies really fast. Their power is 'Dash', which, when released, gives you a speed boost so that you run faster.

1 (Forest Road, Hylow): When coming in from Quarry, it's flying around the pond right in front of you
2 (Forest Road, Chroso): It's flying in a pattern between the rocks in the meadow
3 (Forest Road, Bistort): Just by the exit to Estate Grounds, it flies around the tree log
4 (Quarry, Manchester): It's by the cliffside, directly outside the small cave where you locate the playing cards for Thimbletack's house
5 (Deep Woods, Hody): It's flying around the Oak Tree
6 (Tunnels, Toadshade): This is one of the Garden Sprites, and will only appear once you've captured the first two. He is in the troll chase area, across the crystal bridge.
7 (Estate Grounds, Waffleflea): This one is captured underneath a basket in the Garage. You will have to release it first, then run out to the Estate Grounds to locate it by the large tree just in front of the mansion entrance.

The Flower Head Sprites are orange glowing sprites. When released, they move towards hostiles while spinning, which creates the effect of a whirlwind, thus their power is appropriately named 'Whirlwind'.

1 (Estate Grounds, Gilmania): She is found flying in the area behind the large tree straight ahead from the mansion front door.
2 (Forest Road, Yarrow): When coming from Estate Grounds, she's right in front of you
3 (Forest Road, Froud): Coming in from Estate Grounds exit, she is to the left in the meadow
4 (Quarry, Jimini): Located in the back of the goblin camp, near the Knocker cave entrance.
5 (Quarry, Skitterdew): She is found on the platform below the shed in cliffside, in the area where you had to put the fuse into the fuse-box.
6 (Tunnels, Brittlebush): In the very beginning of the troll chase area, flying around in the area of a curve in the path
7 (Deep Woods, Trillium): This is the second of the Garden Sprites, and will only appear after capturing the first one. When entering from the crawling entrance from Forest Road, she will be right in front of you.

The Will-O'-The-Wisps are they green blobish sprites that flies around. Their power is Diversion, and when you use it, a Will-O'-The-Wisp will fly out in the direction your character is facing, and any goblins will be distracted and follow it like lemmings.

1 (Estate Grounds, O'Fee): Directly outside garage
2 (Forest Road, Ookow): Beneath the log just by the entrance from Estate Ground
3 (Forest Road, Expanded Booches): By the swampish area where you pushed down the log to create the bridge to the exit to Quarry
4 (Forest Road, Sanicula): Just by the exit to Quarry, near the River Troll pond
5 (Quarry, Pyrola): From the entrance from Forest Road, follow the path leading to the left to find it near the big tree
6 (Quarry, Shasty): Down in the pond by the cliffside. You will have to shoot down one of the glowing lanterns in the enormous tree first, to release it from captivity.
7 (Deep Woods, Globemallow): It's flying around in the pond near the Cypress Tree.
8 (Tunnels, Bulblet Saxifrage): When coming from Cellar, and entering Tunnels, it will be directly in front of you.
9 (Tunnels, Croaker): It's at the end of the path that goes in circles in the area before the troll chase
10 (Tunnels, Olmo): It's flying around at the end of the path just before reaching the crawling entrance to the Oak Tree/Knocker area.

The Bellflower Sprites are the yellow sprites. The power they grant you is Damage Boost, which, obviously, boosts your damage.

1 (Estate Grounds, Syrah): Can be found flying around the pavillion.
2 (Quarry, Shannee Bananee): By the shed straight ahead when entering from Forest Road
3 (Deep Woods, Hanney Bananee): Flying over the log in the pond by the Cypress Tree
4 (Tunnels, Scarlet Fritillary): When entering from Cellar, take the path to the right to find it flying over a platform
5 (Forest Road, Rosebay Willowherb): When entering the meadow from Estate Grounds exit, stick to the right side. It will be flying near the treeline

Guide
Stray sods are the somewhat tall, walking, green creatures. They walk back and forth between weeds guarding a specific road/area, and you can only catch it by first confusing it by running in circles around it. They do not offer any powers, but when captured, they will give you a Gobstone.

1 (Forest Road, Kiteway): In the middle of the meadow, it is guarding the small area where you find Old Coin
2 (Forest Road, Meadow Saxifrage): This one is guarding a small area in the meadow by the treeline with a larger goblin and some items.
3 (Forest Road, Shambler): This one is guarding the area in the meadow where you find th Cockatrice Feather.
4 (Deep Woods, Forking Larkspur): He is guarding one of the weeds in the area with the Oak Tree.
5 (Deep Woods, Gallant Soldier): Same as above
6 (Deep Woods, Cheddar Pink): Same as above
7 (Deep Woods, Gisper): Same as above
8 (Deep Woods, Husker): He is also in the Oak Tree area, but he is guarding the weeds blocking the path to the Beetle Mimic Sprite

Sprout Collector Sprout Collector 10G

Record all Sprout Sprites.

Guide
The Sprouts are the sprites on the ground that emit a green glow. They do not fly, but instead they jump around. They grant no powers to you, but the first time you capture one, it rewards you with a Fairie Fruit for releasing it back (which you do automatically).

1 (Estate Grounds, Pirri-pirri-bur): Near the treeline just straight ahead and slightly to left when looking from the mansion entrance.
2 (Estate Grounds, Hollyhock): He is jumping around near the pavillion
3 (Forest Road, Lord Toot): After entering Forest Road from Estate Grounds, take the first right. He should be just in front of you.
4 (Forest Road, Nagoonberry): From the previous Sprout, cross the log, and you will see him.
5 (Forest Road, Peeper): Go into the meadow to find him on the right hand side
6 (Forest Road, Purple Foxglove): He is on the left side of the meadow (opposite side of the previous one)
7 (Forest Road, Kinnikinnick): He is found jumping around the crawling entrance to Deep Woods
8 (Quarry, Wicklet): He will be on the road directly by the entrance from Forest Road
9 (Quarry, Hyssop): He is by the pond by the cliffside. You will have to shoot down one of the glowing lanterns in the big tree to release him first.
10 (Tunnels, Azure): You'll find him in the Oak Tree/Knocker area.

Beetle Mimic Collector Beetle Mimic Collector 10G

Record all Beetle Mimic Sprites.

Guide
The Beetle Mimic Sprite's power is Changeling. This will create a 'dark self' of your current character, and will assist you in fighting.
There are only one of these in the game, Beeblebrax, and it is located in Deep Woods by the Oak Tree. From the entrance from Forest Road that leads to Deep Woods, go left and stay left until you see weed on the left hand side. Run in circles around the Stray Sod that goes back and forth to remove the weed. Beware, the Beetle Mimic Sprite lives up to its name, and mimics your character, which is your most powerful enemy in the game, but shouldn't really pose a threat.
Once you have defeated your 'dark self', capture and record the sprite.

Pond Skater Collector Pond Skater Collector 10G

Record all Pond Skater Sprites.

Guide
The Pond Skater emit a blue glow. Their power is Invulnerability, which obviously makes you invulnerable from goblin attacks.

1 (Forest Road, Kimberlina): Coming from the crawling entrance from Deep Woods, it is straight ahead at the end of the pond. You might have to use a Fairie Fruit to lure it down, as it gains more height once it flies over land.
2 (Quarry, Snowberry): It's flying around in the pond by the cliffside
3 (Deep Woods, Cymbalisty): It's in the pond by the Cypress Tree.

Get a fire salamander by spraying it with Simon's splattergun and then picking it up (there's a salamander near the garage in Estate Grounds.) Run up to the Simon's room and place the salamander into the terrarium.

* Cockatrice feather: Behind a weed 'guarded' by a Stray Sod in the meadow in Forest Road.
* Stone lizard: In the same area as the Oak Tree in tunnels

* Stone frog: Beneath a log in the pond in Deep Woods.

Once the Griffin has made it's first appearance and flies up on top of Quarry, it will drop a feather while flying. This feather is all you need to complete the Field Guide page, and it is on a raised platform in the pond by the cliffside in Quarry.

This will eventually be unlocked while playing through storyline. It is based on your direct encouters with him (the swordsfights as Mallory in Estate Grounds and the goblin camp in Quarry.)

River Troll Master River Troll Master 10G

Guide
The River Troll is at the Quarry exit in Forest Road. As the Field Guide says the river troll abhors direct sunlight, we must force him into sunlight. There's sunlight at the back of the pond, and as Simon, you must spray him repeatedly with the splattergun so that he retreats into the sunlight. This will turn him into stone and end the quest.

Knocker Unlocker Knocker Unlocker 10G

Talk to both Knockers.

Guide
The Quarry Knocker is located in the small cave in the back of the goblin camp in Quarry. The Tunnel Knocker is located in the tunnels where the Oak Tree is. You have to climb up a ledge on the opposite side of the Oak Tree entrance, and then shoot a gobstone on a crystal rock hanging from the roof (this can only be done after seeing the first Knocker). This will make the Knocker come out of hiding.

Green Thumb Green Thumb 40G

Complete Garden Sprites quest.

Guide
The Garden Sprites are 4 "special" sprites that will only appear in Chapter 8. They appear chronologically, meaning you will have to capture the first one, for the second to appear, etc. Their specific locations are mentioned in the respective guides.

1: Phlax - Royal Orchid Sprite, Deep Woods (sprite #5 in the guide)
2: Trillium - Flower Head Sprite, Deep Woods (sprite #7 in the guide)
3: Toadshade - Flower Winged Sprite - Tunnels (sprite #6 in the guide)
4: Leatherleaf - Leatherwing Sprite - Quarry (sprite #10 in the guide)

After you've collected them, you will have to go to Estate Grounds and to the small garden-like area with the small houses, and there you must talk to each one of the sprites. After you've spoken to all 4, the achievement unlocks.

Goblin Trapper Goblin Trapper 20G

Trap a Goblin inside a Toadstool Ring.

Guide
A Toadstool Ring is a power granted to you by the Royal Orchid Sprites. You can catch one just outside the mansion entrance in the Estate Grounds. Run to the garage and allow one of the goblins to get close to you, then unleash the power. As long as the goblin is more inside, than outside, the achievement will unlock.

Goblin Distracter Goblin Distracter 20G

Send a Goblin over a cliff with a Distract Sprite.

Guide
This is done in Tunnels. Simply catch a Will-O'-The-Wisp Sprite (the big fat green flying sprites), and release it nearby some goblins so that it flies off a cliff. The goblins will follow it and fall down into the abyss.
This can also be done in multiplayer.

Goblin Roaster Goblin Roaster 20G

Send a Goblin into a Fire Salamander with a Distract Sprite.

A Distract Sprite is a Will-O'-The-Wisp sprite. This is easily done in Estate Grounds by the Garage, as you have a Will-O'-The-Wisp, a Fire Salamander and a couple of goblins there. Allow the goblins to swarm you, and send the sprite in the direction of the fire salamanders.

Tour of Arenas Tour of Arenas 20G

Complete a multiplayer match in every ISL Arena.

Guide
While playing through the storyline, the different ISL Arenas will unlock. Simply play a game in each one of them to unlock the achievement. You could play Sprite Collection Only, go to 25 points, and collect each one of the sprites.

ISL Master ISL Master 50G

Finish an ISL match in which each player scores 50+ points.

Guide
Play the Front Yard level, Sprites and Goblins, and either 100 Points or 10 Minutes. Allow each character to gain 50 points, and just finish the match.

ISL Champion ISL Champion 100G

Score 100 points in a "Sprites and Goblins" ISL Arena match without taking damage.

This one is tricky, but there is a way of easily getting it. Play Front Yard, Sprites and Goblins, and set the goal to 100 points. The player who's going for the achievement should play as Simon for his splattergun. Simply have both players run behind the Toadstool Ring and nearby the Cellar entrance, and wait for the goblins to appear, then use the splattergun's powered up effect to kill them. If done right, only green goblins (and possible some red) should appear, but none of the larger rock-throwing goblins.

Interior Decorator Interior Decorator 50G

Fully decorate Thimbletack's house.

Guide
There are quite a few items for Thimbletack's house, and they're spread all around the game. Apart from some storyline items, you will have to collect:

* Rug (Mansion): On the table in Mallory's room
* Fencing medal (Mansion): Also in Mallory's room, on a pole on the bed. Must be picked up as Mallory.
* Christmas Lights (Garage): Should be fairly easy to find.
* Crayons (Cellar): They are just by the cellar door
* Toy Soldier (Estate Grounds): You will find this in a small closed-off area in the trees, nearby the Garden Sprite houses.
* Old Coin (Forest Road): In the middle of the meadow, the area which is guarded by Stray Sod #1
* Old Coin 2 (Deep Woods): It is on top of the tree log in the pond area
* Old Coin 3 (Deep Woods): It is in the same area as where you find the Beetle Mimic Sprite
* Pocket Watch (Quarry): Down by the pond, walk past the entrance to the Knocker's cave and punch the wooden boards to reveal a small area with the Pocket Watch.
* Postage Stamp (As Thimbletack): When you're in the bookcase area as Thimbletack in Chapter 5, it will by the lowest shelf guarded by two cockroaches
* Playing Cards (Quarry): When you've obtained the wheel from the goblin spit, use it on the crank by the cliffside to lower the bridge. Cross it, and smash the wooden boards to reveal a small area with the Playing Cards.
* Metal Cricket (Tunnels): In the troll chase area, across the crystal bridge (you will have to throw a gobstone at a crystal on a rock hanging from the roof to create the bridge)
* Cockroaches (As Thimbletack): Kill the cockroaches (see Roach Master) and they will appear.

Slime Boy Slime Boy 10G

Obtain Hobgoblin spit for Simon.

Guide
In Chapter 8, as Simon, talk to Hogsqueal, who's now in the tree right in front of the mansion entrance. He will ask Simon to go on a revenge mission, killing some bullgoblins in the Deep Woods. Simply go there (they're hanging around the pond) and kill each goblin you see until you are prompted to go back to the Estate Grounds. When you return to Hogsqueal he will spit in Simon's face, and the achievement unlocks.

Phlegm Face Phlegm Face 10G

Obtain Hobgoblin spit for Mallory.

Guide
As Mallory, talk to Hogsqueal. He's hungry and requests some bird seed, so go down into the Cellar, pick up the bird seed from the shelf, then run back to him. He spits her in the face, achievement unlocks.
