Win the Under Armour® sponsored fight.
Guide This is an event you will come across during your career. Make sure you don't lose it. If you do, exit to dashboard, and re-load your game. General To unlock these achievements, you will need to play in career mode. Some of the achievements can be unlocked earlier in your career, before the event itself appears, as some fights are sponsored. I unlocked the EA SPORTS™ Achievement before I even got to the event, as a fight was "brought to me" by them. You can choose to play this game on Easy for a faster completion. When in the Career Central, go to Options->Gameplay and set Difficulty to Easy. My Champ Style: * Stance: Orthodox * Base style: Balanced * Punch style: Basic * Block style: classic The guide assumes usage of Controller Layout 3, which changes the layout of X, Y, A, B to left jab, right jab, left hook, right hook respectively, but still preserves Total Punch Control on the right analog stick. Taunt, clinch, and low blow is moved to the D-pad. I completed this game with a total of 38 fights. Training My priorities were Weightlifting with Steve Jones or Combo Dummy with Mark Poles due to my fighting tactic (see below). Combo Dummy: Use X for left side jabs, and Y for right side jabs. Hold down the Left Trigger to trigger lower punches. You will have to follow the red cross' sequence with your punches - the same way you play the board game Simon Says. If you hit the wrong sequence, you will lose your streak and multiplier. Heavy Bag: Punch in the area where the red crosses are. They will appear and blink out and disappear after a while. Mash your X and Y in sequence to hit as much as possible in the timing window when they are visible. Hold down the Left Trigger when the red crosses are on the bottom area of the bag. Weightlifting: Use left analog stick to lift the left weight, and the right analog stick for the right weight. You will need to time your release of the sticks to hinder the weights going too far, which will loose your multiplier. Try to find a beat and keep that rhythm. It's not as hard as it looks like. Fighting tactic I tried to finish off my opponent as fast as possible, and with this tactic, I was able to finish most of them within two rounds. The majority in the first round. However, some of the opponents are pretty much vaccined against this tactic, so if you are having problem using it against an opponent, don't! Fight normally. When the round starts, immediately move your right stick analog to the right, and move it in a fluent 115° turn to the bottom left. This will power up the Flash KO punch, as indicated by a small vibration from your controller. Move towards your enemy, and move the analog stick back into the starting position to execute the punch (refer to the manual if my diffuse explaination is too confusing). Do not attempt this if your opponent is already blocking his left side, as he will most likely punish you with a hard counter punch. If your punch is successful, your opponent will be dazed and ready for KO. Try to land a few well placed hooks, or a signature punch to knock him down. Once he gets up, repeat the punch and knock him down again. Repeat until he's finished.
