Completed Last Part: Guybrush Kicks Butt. Guybrush stopped LeChuck from marrying Elaine Marley.

Experienced the original, classic adventure game, as it was in the early 90s.

Simply hit the Back button on your controller at any time in-game to experience the beautiful original graphics and sounds of the game. This can be unlocked momentarily after the opening credits.

Guybrush learned all of the insults, and is the wittiest/deadliest pirate what ever swung a sword.

The insults referred to here are the ones that are used in the game's family friendly sword fighting. Instead of actually fighting with swords, Guybrush & co. will use insults and retorts to decide who will win a sword fight. There are 16 insults and retorts in total

Once you have been taught how to use a sword by Captain Smirk, you are allowed to pick fights with the other pirates of Mêlée Island. To do this, simply intercept any of the other pirates moving around on Mêlée Island. You do not have to learn the retorts, you just need the insults to unlock this achievement. Guybrush can hold his breath for 10 minutes, but not any longer than that.

This is done in the first part of the game. Once you've stolen the idol from the Governor's Mansion, you will eventually be thrown into the ocean by Fester Shinetop. Once here, do not pick the idol up, instead just wait 10 minutes for the achievement unlock. Keep in mind that once 10 minute have passed, you will die, and naturally be unable to continue, so save before you have a go at this achievement.

Collected all of the notes and memos sent between Herman Toothrot, LeChuck and the Cannibals.

There are nine notes, memos and letters sent between the three parties, all scattered around on Monkey Island. 7 accessible right from the start, and 2 which require use of the rowboat.

Pre-rowboat
Piece of paper - On the beach where you land after cannonballing yourself from the ship
Note - Beach on the west side of Monkey Island nearby the volcano
Note - Pond at the end of dry river, by the hanging corpse
Note under rock - At the base of River Fork
Note - Second level of River Fork (walk up the footholds)
Note - Once again on the second level of the river fork (this will appear once you have used the 'primitive art' a.k.a. catapult once)
Bottle (Memo) - On the beach on the east side of Monkey Island, connecting the island to a smaller island with the Clearing where you find the Monkey Head.

In the third part of this game you will eventually be captured by the cannibals of Monkey Island. Once you've figured how to escape from the hut, allow yourself to be re-captured by the cannibals, then escape once again. Repeat this process 3 more times to unlock the achievement.

Re-marooned Herman Toothrot and marooned Carla, Otis and Meathook on Monkey Island™.

There are two endings in this game, depending on whether you catapulted your own ship on Monkey Island or not. This can be one in one playthrough, although you have to repeat the last portion of the game twice to get the achievement. The two endings are triggered at the top of River Fork. If you do not move the primitive art (a.k.a. catapult) on the second level, and push the rock off the top level, you will sink your own ship. Whether your sink your ship or not have no real impact on your game other than the different endings the actions trigger.

Getting both endings in one playthrough
Complete a large portion of the third part, without sinking your ship, all the way up until you are supposed to enter the Monkey Head with the Head of the Navigator in your inventory. Go to River Fork's top level and save the game, then enter the Monkey Head. If you enter the Monkey Head and go all the way to LeChuck's pirate ship without a savegame to load, you will most likely have to replay the game to get both endings. Once you've completed the game, re-load from the savegame you made, and then sink your ship. Re-play the last portion of the game, and the achievement will unlock.

You will have to complete the game within 3 hours for this achievement. Unless you're fairly familiar with the game, you will probably not get this on your first playthrough (of course, unless you're hardcore and follow a walkthrough literally). If you want to do all of the achievements in one go, save before you go for Sharp Tongue and Escape Artist, then re-load once you got them. This will save you an enormous amount of time. Other than that, skip every possible events (cutscenes, chit-chattering, etc.) by holding down Y.
