1000 / 50 achievements
Just like the other LEGO® games, Indiana Jones is an enjoyable experience. The achievements aren't too challenging, but at the same time not too easy. Unlike it's older brother, Star Wars: TCS, you will be able to max out this game without too much grinding. Each level requires no more than 2 playthroughs to get everything you need.
This... this is history... This... this is history... 40G

Collect all artefacts.

Guide
To collect one artefact, you will have to find 10 pieces of it in one level. Most of the artefacts are inaccessible in Story Mode, and requires you to play through a level in Free Play with a wide set of characters (Indy, scholar, digger, high jumper, etc.). If you've played LEGO Star Wars: TCS, you'd recognize the pattern being the same as with the Mini-Kits in LSW.

You can see just how many you have in the Main Hall of Barnett College. If you are missing some, you can get more in depth numbers by walking towards either of the maps representing the three episodes.

Refer to section 6 of this FAQ if you need assistance on the treasure pieces

Your mail is on your desk. Your mail is on your desk. 40G

Post all parcels.

Guide
There are 18 parcels in the game, one on each level. Similar to artefacts, most will only be accessible on Free Play with a variety of characters. The parcels needs to be found, picked up, and delivered in a mailbox. The posted parcels unlocks helpful extras (or cheats if you'd like), which can aid you in your playthrough.

Refer to section 6 of this FAQ if you need assistance in locating and posting the parcels.

Fortune & glory kid. Fortune & glory kid. 100G

Complete the game to 100%.

Guide
Getting 100% in the game requires you to:

- Complete all three episodes of the game
- Collect all the artefacts (180 artefact pieces)
- Get True Adventurer on each level (requires you to collect a set amount of treasure/studs on each level, use the multipliers, character treasure, and treasure magnet to make it easier)
- Post all 18 Parcels, and purchase all the extras they unlock
- Unlock and purchase all characters in the game
- Complete the bonus level Young Indy (accessible from the Artefact Room in Barnett College)
- Get 1 million studs on Ancient City (accessible from the Artefact Room)
- Get 1 million studs in Warehouse (accessible from the Artefact Room)

Note on the bonus levels in the Artefact Room
To unlock the secret area, you must perform certain tasks in Indy's office (see Got lost in his own museum.). The levels themselves will open up as soon as you collect all the artefacts in the different episodes. There have been reports that the levels aren't directly tied to any of the episodes, and that it is somewhat random which levels the artefacts unlock. The three levels you will unlock by collecting artefacts are Young Indy, Ancient City, and Warehouse.

Note on The Warehouse
The Warehouse is an odd type of extra level. There aren't much to destroy here, and definitely not enough to amass 1 million studs. Instead, you can enter the level with a bazooka character, run all the way to the right and keep firing at the shooting target. It will drop an unlimited amount of treasure, and after a while you will get 1 million off it.

You chose... wisely. You chose... wisely. 30G

Unlock all of the available characters.

Guide
As you play through the different levels in the episodes, the characters you play with will be handed to you, while other characters become available in the character store. To unlock this character you must first play through the whole story mode, then purchase them from the store. Two characters will only be available after you beat Young Indy: Young Indy himself, and Fedora.

The last character, Han Solo, will only become available once you find five Star Wars characters spread throughout the game. Look at this thread for directions.

You will become a true believer. You will become a true believer. 20G

Use a Thuggee Statue 20 times.

Guide
The Thuggee Statues are the large gray four-armed statues, one can be seen by the right wall in Indy's Office. You will need a Thuggee character or a character wearing a Thuggee turban to interact with one. Some levels requires you to use a Thuggee Statue to proceed or access bonus items, such as parcels, mailboxes or artefacts. If you're going for the full 1000, you should get this along the way.

Bad dates! Bad dates! 20G

Give 20 bananas to monkeys.

Guide
In level 3 of Raiders of the Lost Ark (City of Danger), as you start the level there will be a monkey behind you. Take a banana from the crate next to you, aim it at the monkey, and throw it. Once the monkey receives it, he will throw down a wrench. Avoid it, and let it time out and 'respawn' in the hands of the monkey, then throw up another banana. Do this a total of 20 times to have the achievement unlock.

What a cautious fellow I am. What a cautious fellow I am. 20G

Destroy 50 objects with a bazooka or other explosive device.

Guide
Once you unlock and purchase the Bazooka Trooper, go into any level in Free Play and go nuts with the bazooka. Once you've destroyed 50 items, the achievement unlocks.

You call this archaeology? You call this archaeology? 20G

Use a scholar character's academic ability 50 times.

Guide
By academic ability, they mean deciphering glyphs. The scholars can be identified by the book they are carrying (Henry, Elsa, for example), but there are also levels where you have to pick a book up and decipher glyphs in order to proceed. This achievement did not unlock for me by regular playthrough, where i went through both Story Mode and Free Play in order to collect everything. What I did to speed it up, was to go into the last level of The Last Crusade (Temple of the Grail) in Free Play. Right at the beginning of the level, you need to get up on top of the temple and solve two glyph walls in order to enter the temple. Decipher both of them, then Save & Exit to Barnett College, and re-enter the level, and repeat the process.

The best digger in Cairo. The best digger in Cairo. 20G

Uncover 50 pieces of buried treasures using the excavation ability.

Guide
The buried treasures will be found in close to all levels of the game, and are easily recognizeable by the shimmering red/green/yellow glow surrounding them. To excavate them, you will need a shovel. Most of the time the 'treasures' are objects you need to proceed in the levels, so the game often hides shovels nearby the treasures. In Free Play, however, as long as you have them unlocked, you will always have a character with a shovel. Sallah is one of these characters.

This was one of the first Do X with Y N times achievements I unlocked while playing through the game, as there are so many treasures to dig up.

Trouble with her is the noise. Trouble with her is the noise. 20G

Destroy 50 objects or characters using the scream and super scream ability.

Guide
The only character that has the scream ability, is Willie, who you will unlock after completing the first level in Temple of Doom. When you are in control of Willie, hit B to scream. The scream can destroy glass objects and ice. The Super Scream is one of the extras you can unlock by posting parcels, and is so high pitched that it will destroy other characters.

From my experience, Super Scream does not unlock this achievement. At least it didn't for me. I tried counting the characers I destroyed in the last level of The Last Crusade, but I gave up once I surpassed 60. Instead, you should use the normal scream ability to destroy objects.

There are a few levels where you can boost this achievement, and I found the Ancient City level to be the easiest level. Right from the start, go a few steps to the left to destroy three glass tiles on top of the booth where the bandits are. Once that is done, go to the far left wall and jump up onto the platform with a doorway. Enter this room and use the scream ability to destroy 4 more glass tiles. Exit to Barnett College and repeat the process. Do not worry about the game notifying you that unsaved progress will be lost - it still saves the achievement progress!

Note
As having a character with the scream ability (i.e. Willie) is seldom required in any level, she won't be automatically selected when going into a level in Free Play or similar, so make sure you pick her manually!

Start the engines, Jock! Start the engines, Jock! 20G

Use a mechanic character's repair ability 50 times.

Guide
The mechanics are the characters that carry a wrench. You can use this character's ability on mechanic objects that emit sparks to denote that they are not functioning properly. Approaching such objects with a wrench and pressing down B, makes the character fix the item, thus count toward the achievement. There are several objects along the way that require to be fixed in this manner, but if you want to boost this achievement, there is an object that needs constant fixing. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, enter the Pursuing the Ark level. Go to the right of the area in the start to find a mechanic pump of some sort that, when fixed, will raise a platform twice before breaking down. Keep fixing this pump until you get the achievement.

How we say goodbye in Germany. How we say goodbye in Germany. 20G

Access restricted enemy locations 50 times.

Guide
The restricted enemy locations require to either play with an enemy soldier/officer or wear an appropriate hat. In some levels, there will be guard stations with a gray window-like cover with an enemy soldier depicted on it. With a soldier character, or a character wearing a soldier's hat, approach it and press B to knock on it. A soldier will look out the window to see who's knocking. If you wear a soldier's cap, a restricted location will be opened up. If not, a bomb will be thrown out of the guard post.

This achievement is quite hard to unlock, as there aren't many restricted enemy locations throughout the game. There were two ways I found to easily boost this. One is to play the first portion of Motorcycle Escape level in The Last Crusade:
Fix the bikes, and head out onto the dirt road. Ignore all the enemies and dodge the mines. There will be two guard posts you have to knock on to proceed through road blocks. The third will be in the farm area. Save & Exit to Barnett College and repeat. This will net you 3 accesses in 3 minutes.

Alternatively, you could also do the Ancient City level over and over again. Access the game as an enemy soldier and walk all the way to the right wall where there is a guard post. Knock on it to access a restricted location. Quit and repeat. This nets 4 accesses in 3 minutes, but in my opinion, it felt tedious due to the long loading screens.

I hate these guys. I hate these guys. 20G

Destroy 200 bad guys.

Guide
This will unlock during normal playthrough (unless you are a pacifist!) If for some reason, you do not have it after completing all three episodes, you can re-do the last level of The Last Crusade to attain it. But that really shouldn't be neccesary, I unlocked it before completing Temple of Doom.

It's not the years honey... It's not the years honey... 40G

Complete any level with out dying, without invincibility.

Guide
This achievement sounds like a real pain, but actually it's not! All you have to do is play Escape the Mines level in Temple of Doom. There will be 8 enemies at the start of the level, and once you get into the mine cart, there are none! Just make sure you don't have the Invincibility extra activated.

How dare you kiss me! How dare you kiss me! 15G

Use your whip to kiss Marion, Willie and Elsa.

Guide
In each of the episodes, you will be playing with Indy and either of the three female characters. As Indy, you must face the opposite sex and press B to unleash the whip on them. It's a bit tricky, though, but within a few attemps, you should be able to grab hold of them, and Indy will pull them towards him and kiss them. Kinky.

Note
Cannot be done with the computer controlled characters in Barnett College. Whipping them will eventually kill them.

Oh it breaks the heart. Oh it breaks the heart. 15G

Smash 20 LEGO objects on enemy heads.

Guide
There are certain LEGO objects, such as stools and bottles, that you can grab and use to attack enemies. It's a bit tricky to smash them on their heads, as you need to get real close and, at the same time, avoid getting killed. This can easily be done in the bar fight during Into the Mountains in Raiders of the Lost Ark, as the objects respawn and the enemies keep on swarming in. Just grab a stool, and hit an enemy on his head with it. Just make sure you don't kill Major Toht, as that will end the fight.

Secret Achievements
He no nuts. He's crazy!! He no nuts. He's crazy!! 20G

Smash 250 LEGO objects.

Guide
Unless you are a tidy individual who resents the mess from destroying LEGO objects, you should have no problem getting this achievement. If you keep on destroying stuff and collecting treasure, you should unlock this in the early stages of the game.

Got lost in his own museum. Got lost in his own museum. 30G

Unlock secret area in the museum.

Guide
To unlock this achievement, all you have to do is to go onto the second floor of Barnett College and enter the Artefact Room on the right side, and place the diamond on top of the stone structure. But to actually open up the areas, you are required to do some "exploring" in Indy's Office. You will need to place 5 chests in the middle of the room to uncover a key:

Chest #1: Use an Explosive character to blow up the large plate-like steel objects on the bottom left corner, then a character with a shovel to dig the chest up.
Chest #2: Use a Scholar on the glyph wall in the back of the room to open up a secret area with the chest in it.
Chest #3: Use Willie or an Explosive character to blow up the glass dome in the far right corner of the room. The chest is inside it.
Chest #4: Use a Thuggee character on the Thuggee Statue on the right side of the room, then a short character to enter the vent. The chest is on a ledge above the vent.
Chest #5: Use a female character to jump up to a ledge in the back of the room, on which the chest is.

Once you've collected the chest, and placed them all on the green plates in the middle of the room, build a LEGO object you can smash to uncover a key. Take the key and run up into the Artefact Room, and place it inside the stone structure. Rotate the key to uncover the secret areas.

I step on fortune cookie! I step on fortune cookie! 20G

Destroy 50 creepy-crawlies.

Guide
By creepy-crawlies, the game means spiders. They are often hidden inside LEGO objects in the jungle and cave-like levels of the game. Once you see them, simply kill them. You can easily boost this on the Pankot Secrets level in Temple of Doom, as there are several creepy-crawlies hidden throughout the level. Also, after crossing the bridge, you will be attacked by 10 spiders. This is also a great place to get Blow it up!.

A source of unspeakable power! A source of unspeakable power! 20G

Build 250 LEGO objects.

Guide
Throughout the game, you will be forced to build LEGO objects from bricks lying around. The bricks you can build objects from are identified by the way they are sort of hopping abit on the ground. Approach these types of bricks and hold down B to build the objects. You will most likely unlock this achievement by going through both Story Mode and Free Play.

Goodbye Dr. Jones. Goodbye Dr. Jones. 20G

Destroy Indy with Lao Che.

Guide
See Nice try, Lao Che!

Nice try, Lao Che! Nice try, Lao Che! 20G

Destroy Lao Che with Indy.

Guide
Once you've beat the first level of Temple of Doom, Lao Che will become available for purchase in the Character Store. Purchase him and enter any level in Free Play, selecting Lao Che as you character. Once the level starts, simply kill Indy with Lao Che and Lao Che with Indy.

That’s for blasphemy! That’s for blasphemy! 20G

Destroy Indy with Jones Snr.

Guide
After completing Castle Rescue in The Last Crusade, Henry Jones will become a playable character. Start any level in Free Play with Henry Jones as your character, and once the level starts, kill Indy.

Blow it up! Blow it up! 40G

Blow up 5 enemies with 1 explosion.

Guide
After going over the bridge in the level Pankot Secrets in Temple of Doom, you will be attacked by 10 spiders. Using a Bazooka Trooper in Free Play, try to time a shot into that horde when you think you are able to kill 5 spiders. If you're successful, the achievement unlocks.

Throw me the idol. Throw me the idol. 20G

Perform 150 whip grabs in the game.

Guide
To perform a whip grab, as Indy, get close to an object that has a blue triangle above it. Press B and have Indy whip it to himself. This can easily be boosted in the Into the Mountains level of Raiders of the Lost Ark. At the beginning of the level, there will be no enemies, and a bunch of respawning objects. Simply whip them into your hands, throw them away, and keep on repeating that process.

You cheat very big! You cheat very big! 30G

Unlock all extras.

Guide
There are 24 extras you'll need for this achievement, and they can be purchased from the Mail Room in Barnett College. There are 6 that you can purchase right from the start, and 18 you will unlock for purchasing as you deliver the parcels in the game. You will need 17.107.500 treasure/studs in order to purchase them all.

I would recommend that your priorities are set in this order: Treasure Multipliers -> Treasure Magnet -> Character Treasure -> The rest. This will make collecting enough treasure to purchase the extras and characters much easier.

I can't believe what you did! I can't believe what you did! 20G

Disarm 100 enemies with the whip.

Guide
As long as an enemy is carrying a weapon (sword or gun, for example), you can disarm them using Indy and his whip. Run towards an enemy with a weapon, and press B. You must be running towards them, or else he won't disarm them, but rather stun them. This can easily be boosted on the Temple of the Grail level in The Last Crusade, as there are an infinite amount of enemies with guns coming out of the trucks. Just make sure you keep as far behind in the level to avoid accidentally hitting the trucks, as that would close them off and stop the enemy swarm. Use invincibility to ease the process.

We go for a ride. We go for a ride. 20G

Perform 250 whip swings in the game.

Guide
In The Lost Temple level of Raiders of the Lost Ark, play in Story Mode. After crossing over the first crevasse with the vine, there will be an Indy platform, on which you can do whip swings on. Keep going back and forth until the achievement unlocks. This is best done in Story Mode, as your companion would also switch to Indy in Free Play, and do the same, slowing down the process.

Where Forrestal cashed in. Where Forrestal cashed in. 30G

Collect 1,000,000 studs in the Ancient City Level.

Guide
You will need to collect 1,000,000 studs (or treasure) on Ancient City. The Ancient City level is available from the Artefact Room. Check out this thread in the forums for tips.

That belongs in a museum! That belongs in a museum! 10G

Complete the "Young Indy" level in Story Mode.

Guide
The Young Indy level is accessible from the Artefact Room. Simply play through it in Story Mode to unlock the achievement.

Hey! You call him Dr. Jones! Hey! You call him Dr. Jones! 20G

Create and name a custom build character.

Guide
In Barnett College, exit right from the Main Hall into the Courtyard, running all the way to the Art Room, In the middle of this room, there will be a platform you can walk onto to enter a Character Creation mode. In this mode, there will be several small icons around the character's feet. Rotate them so that the chalkboard with ABC on it is highlighted, and then press A to name the character. Just change one letter, and press B to save and unlock the achievement.

Show a little backbone will ya? Show a little backbone will ya? 20G

Destroy 100 snakes

Guide
Throughout the game you will encounter several snakes, which you can kill. But not with Indy, he can't handle snakes unfortunately. Anyway, you will most likely not be able to kill 100 snakes through regular playthrough, as there aren't that many snakes in the game. But, if you play The Well of Souls in Raiders of the Lost Ark, you will eventually reach an area where there are three holes in the wall from which snakes constantly emerge. Instead of closing off these holes, keep killing the snakes to unlock the achievement.
