When you complete a career on a difficulty higher than Easy, the game will automatically unlock the achievements for the easier difficulties. If you beat it on Expert, achievements for Easy, Medium and Hard will unlock. Of course, if you aren't able to beat it on Expert, you will have to do it on an easier difficulty.

Note: You do not need 5 stars to unlock these achievements!

Unlock Aerosmith as the playable band

Guide
This achievement will automatically unlock after beating the second song in the setlist, All the Young Dudes. Also see Draw the Line for a way to combine it with this achievement.

Play a song at the Nipmuc venue

Guide
This achievement will unlock after playing the first song (Dream Police) in career mode.

Earn a 100 note streak in Career or Quick Play (Local only)

Guide
This should be one of the first achievements you unlock while playing. You will simply have to play 100 notes in a row without missing or overstrumming. You can see how many notes you have hit in the lower left corner of the hud. When it passes 100, the achievement will unlock.

Earn a 500 note streak in Career or Quick Play (Local Only)

Guide
Play 500 notes in a row without missing or overstrumming once. You can unlock this achievement on Easy by playing Mama Kin, Mercy or Shakin' My Cage. Or you could play on a harder difficulty, as more songs have more than 500 notes.

Perform all the Encores

Guide
Play every encore in the setlist. Do not worry if you have turned down an encore, simply selecting in from the setlist and playing it through will count.

Purchase all the playable characters from The Vault

Guide
Right from the start, only Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford are available at the price of $15,000 each.
DMC will be available once you beat Walk This Way in setlist tier 4, while Joe Perry will be available once you beat him in the guitar battle in tier 6. These two also costs $15,000 each.

Purchase all the bonus songs

Guide
There are a total of 9 songs at the price of $500 each. Save $4,500 and purchase them.

Purchase all guitars from The Vault (Bass/Lead/Rhythm)

Guide
You will only have to buy the guitars available right from the start, but there sure are alot of them! There's 73 guitars total available at the total price of $93,200, so naturally you will have to complete several career playthroughs to afford all of them.

Complete every song in the setlist and the Vault (Local only)

Guide
You will have to buy every song from the Vault to be able to unlock this achievement. Once you have done that, the requirement is that you have completed a playthrough on each song in the setlist and the vault at least once.

Score "325,000" or more on the song "Train Kept a Rollin'"

Guide
This is the hardest achievement in the game. To be able to pull this off, you need to play on Expert, as full comboing this (getting a flawless 100%) on Hard, won't even get near 325,000. You need to use your Star Power wisely, and miss as few notes as possible. If you are struggling with parts of the song, I can only advise you to use Practice mode. Good luck!

Score 2,000,000 in the Career

Guide
This achievement will unlock while playing through the careers. 2,000,000 total is easily attainable on Easy.

Earn $50,000 in career earnings

Guide
Play through the various career difficulties to achieve this one. Don't worry about spending cash in the store, because the achievement will unlock just as you have passed $50,000 in overall earnings. If you 5 star every song on Expert, you will be able to get it in a single playthrough.

Earn a gold star rating on a song on Medium or harder difficulty (Local only)

Guide
Earning a gold star on a song means getting 100%. You can overstrum, but you cannot miss a single note. Play Dream Police on Medium for an easy way to unlock this.

Note: You could combine this with Gems and Spaced

Hit every star power phrase on a song (Local or Xbox LIVE)

Guide
A Star Power phrase is when the notes on the fretboard turns into rotating star shaped notes. Hitting every single one of these notes in a song will unlock this achievement. Any song on Easy will do for this achievement.

Note: You could combine this with Spaced and I Don't Want to Miss a Thing

Earn a 5 star rating for a song on Medium or harder (Local or Xbox LIVE)

Guide
Play any song on Medium and try to miss as few notes as possible. Try to use Star Power to gain more score. You can see the 5-star cutoff (how many points are needed to get 5 star) here: http://www.scorehero.com/songstats.php?stat=2&group=6&game=12&diff= - Click on the difficulty that suit you.

Earn a gold star rating on a song (Local only)

Earn a 600 note streak in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE)

There are a few songs you can both play on Easy to get this achievement, but I would recommend that at least one of you play on Medium. This will improve your chances that the song has more than 600 notes ;-).

Earn an 8x multiplier in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE)

When playing a Co-op match, once you have a 4x multiplier, activate Star Power, and voilá, 8x multiplier ;-)

Earn a gold star rating on a Co-op song (Local or Xbox LIVE)

Guide
Play any song on Easy, and do your best to not miss a single note. As always, Dream Police is an easy way to get this.

Activate Star Power 3 times in a song in a Co-op match (Local or Xbox LIVE)

In Co-op mode, simply activate star power 3 times.

Play 20 online ranked matches of any game type

To quickly unlock this, I will recommend you to host 1-song Battle Matches, as it will speed up the process. Pick a song you're good on, use the power ups wisely, and hopefully beat your opponent. If you host a song, you will have a lag advantage.

Complete all songs on the setlist as the lead guitarist (Local or Xbox LIVE - primary user)

Guide
This means completing a fresh setlist as the lead guitarist player in Co-op mode. Make sure you are the primary user (the one on the left side of the screen), and it should unlock once you have played through every song in the setlist.

Win an online ranked Pro Face-Off match

Win an online ranked Face-Off match

Guide
Host a 1-song ranked Face-Off match, pick any song you are good on, and try to beat your opponent. If you are having problems, try playing the song on Easy. The game will balance the score if your opponent picks a harded difficulty, which ultimately makes it easier for you to beat your opponent if you can full combo the song.

Win an online ranked Pro-Face Off match by 10,000 or more points

This achievement will, in most cases, unlock when you unlock My Fist, Your Face, as a 10,000 score difference isn't that much.
Use the same tactic as with Don't Get Mad, Get Even, but this time you will have to win by 10,000 more points than your opponent, and you will naturally have to play Pro Face-Off. Use your star power wisely, and do your best to not miss a note.

Win a ranked online Battle Mode match with a Death Drain attack

Guide
Play a rankend online Battle on any difficulty (the easier the better, but try to not go higher than your opponent). Pick any song you know, and try to not win and not lose. Before the end of the song make sure you save power ups such as Whammy bar, Broken string and Lefty flip, as this will make it harder for your opponent to get the Death drain power up in the Sudden death mode. Preferrably you should have three Whammy bar power ups, just launch it once the Death drain phrase comes, get the Death drain yourself and immediately launch it onto your opponent. From here on, it should be a breeze.

Complete all songs on the setlist as the Bass/Rhythm guitarist ( Local or Xbox LIVE - primary user)

The method here is the same as for Deuces Are Wild, but in this case you will have to be the Bass/Rhythm player. Make sure you are the primary user (the one on the left side) before you start playing!

Played a song at the Max's Kansas City venue

Play through any song in the second setlist tier to unlock this achievement

You unlocked the Orpheum Theater of Boston venue

This achievement will unlock once you complete tier 2 in the setlist.

When you are prompted to play an encore, simply select Leave to unlock this achievement. This also works when you are asked to "Bring on Aerosmith", select Leave and the achievement will unlock even though it's not really an encore.

You completed a song earning Star Power, but never used it

Guide
Play any song, get Star Power gems, and finish the song without tilting your guitar or pressing the back button to activate Star Power.

Note: You could combine this with Gems and I Don't Want to Miss a Thing

Played a song as Izzy Sparks

In career mode, change you character to Izzy Sparks and play through a song

You purchased DMC from The Vault

Guide
DMC will not be available until you beat Walk This Way in setlist tier 4. Once available, he will cost $15,000 to unlock. Purchase him and the achievement unlocks.

Bummer, you failed a song 10 times

Guide
Select any song on Expert, and at the beginning of the song, strum like crazy, fail, replay and do the same 9 more times.

Keep trying, you failed a Co-op song beyond 95% completion

Guide
Play any song in Co-op mode, preferrably on Hard or Expert as this will fail a song faster. Once you are getting close to the end of the song, have both players strum up and down without hitting any notes, and fail the song.

You failed 5 Co-op songs. Don't give up!

Guide
You do not, of course, have to be two players to unlock this. Turn on another controller, set it to be the secondary player, have both controllers play on expert, and choose any song. Fail on purpose, retry and fail again. Do this until the achievement unlocks.

You lost an online ranked Pro Face-Off match

Play a ranked Pro Face-Off match and try your best to loose it ;-)

Simply play a Co-op song with one player playing as Tom Hamilton and the other as Brad Whitford. These two characters are unlockables, that you can buy from the Vault.
